It's definitely not Hotel California, but once you've checked in, you will struggle to leave. At Hotel Brosundet our regular guests have met the same faces for ten, twenty and thirty years. - It's just a lovely place to work. I've walked through these doors since I was 14 and after all these years it still makes my heart smile. I might not be completely mesmerized by the massive fireplace anymore, but the unity we share, all the fun we have, the people we meet and the safety my work provides me with, makes it more than a job. It's a part of who I am, says receptionist Elisabeth Larsen. She is one of many who has stayed and grown within these walls, and recently her teenage daughter had her first day as a store assistant here. - You know it's a great place to work when you pass it on to the next generation.

Equality and diversity

At Brosundet, we actively work in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals on gender equality and reduced inequalities. We strive to be an inclusive workplace where people from different backgrounds feel safe, can be themselves, and are given the opportunity to grow.

Today, our team includes employees from over 25 different nationalities. We’re proud of the gender balance in both our leadership and board, and we are committed to fair and equitable pay based on responsibility and experience – regardless of gender or background.

We believe everyone deserves a chance. In collaboration with Brisk, NAV, and other partners, we aim to help people who have fallen outside the job market find a path back into work. We also offer Norwegian language courses to our staff and mark Pride to celebrate the diversity among us and take a clear stand against discrimination.

With us, there is room for everyone – regardless of religion, belief, ethnicity, or gender identity. We know that differences enrich our community, and that diversity makes Brosundet stronger and more vibrant.
